the se and le and 40th in the 97-03's had a 16 multi spoke,

these would have come off the 04 only se (which is the only 04 to come from the factory with the heat extractors.

but if you want to snag those from next door, i could pick them up at maters house later.. (course he would probly put them on his car now..)

The SE 04 GP was like a hodgepodge of lefterover parts. SOme had the se/40th hood scoops, some had wheels liek the ones you got, some had SE wheels. Or maybe they all came the same way and some of the people I've seen driving them have changed a few things. I don't know.

If anyone wants to make a ohio trip it looks like this guy might have the same wheels for 150. Not sure because there is no pic but due to the fact that they are 17's chances are its the same ones.

thanks for the offer but i think i am going more for the "gxp" or other after market (077's, ar, ect.) either 17's (as i have good tires to put on them) or 18's for a decent price.. but i am considering holding off on the wheels for now and doing a hood insted.. will see with what comes along.

077's are classics. I don't care how played out they are, they look amazing.

I'm looking at buying some Tek rims like these. I need to replace two of my twisted chrome 5 spoke rims (one bent, one has corrosion inside) and they're all pealing badly inside so I might as well get a whole new (used) set of something else. I like the look of these over my current wheels.

Not to thread jack, but on the topic of 04 Special Editions, it must have been a US spec option package bc I live 1.5 hrs from the assembly plant where our cars were made, and trust me there are a Zillion GPS rolling arround southern Ontario, but most are hum drum (meaning driven by soccer moms and salesmen) base models or GTs, most of the GTPs arround here are of the 97 - 03 variety, I hardly ever see Comp Gs or even just regular 04 and up GTPs... and I can honestly say Ive never seen an 04 Special Edition with the scoops etc etc...

That being said, one of the Ontario Club guys just traded in his Purple GXP and he put the hood scoops in... Will have to share the autotrader listing if its still up...

Agreed. I do think they look better on the 97-03 then the 04+.

Since there are so few 04 Special Editions, I guess I should kick myself for not buying the one I test drove the day I bought my GTP. I wanted to buy it but the dealer was unwilling to budge from their asking price even after I pulled the car fax showing that it had been in an accident. It was a "no haggle" dealership claiming that the price on the sticker was the lowest price. Frustrated, I left went to another dealership and bought my GTP. I loved the blue color, not fond of the interior, but I would have bought it if they would have gone down about $1500 on the asking price.
