I've talked about this in another topic, but I just wanted to update you all and give you a heads up if you planned on buying these rotors. If you didn't know, I bought both front and rear rotors and paid $300. After being on my car for a couple of weeks, they started to rust. On their website, it says they will not rust. So I emailed them and they will let me return them and will replace them for me. But, it takes time to get these rotors for some reason. When I first ordered them they said I'd have them in about a week. It took over two weeks and for some reason I don't think they coated them. They send them out to get coated, and they were so late, I think they just sent them out uncoated. Take a look at the pictures.

So now its been two weeks and I haven't heard anything. So I emailed them and they tell me they are in queue still and should be machined later this week. This will put them at three weeks and by the time I get them it will be around four weeks.

So if you need rotors.....look somewhere else.

Yet so many people put down the Ebay rotors. I had mine in a few days and they are bright & shiny!

Like I said before, Mike from WBS is a tool......

I've only placed a few orders, but the only problem I had with WBS was a long wait on an item I ordered knowing it was on backorder. And that might not even really be a complaint because I KNEW there would be a delay, I just didn't expect it to be as long as it was.

I ordered Speed Bleeders and stainless steel brake lines from them last month and the shipping was ridiculously slow. I had sent an email asking if the items had shipped and never received a response.

Tony, thanks for keeping us updated with this. Sorry your GP is out of comission while waiting for the rotors.

I got an email this last weekend from Mike at WBS and he said now that my replacement rotors wouldn't be done until the end of the month. Its already been three weeks. If I didn't want to wait and just keep the ones I have now, he said they'd refund me $100. A few weeks ago it was $75. I told him that I'd just rather wait because I don't like the way the rotors rust on the braking surface as soon as they get wet. He emailed me back and said that will always happen. Is that correct? If so, I'll just keep the rotors and take the $100 back.

My stockers rust a little after a wash, but nothing that'll cause pitting, it's just on the surface. As soon as I move the car and brake a little it's gone. IDK what to tell you man, how much did you pay for them? Was there any type of warranty? I'd want a full refund for their screw up and I buy elsewhere.

My choices are keep the ones I have now and get $100 refund for the zinc plating, or get brand new ones with the correct plating. I've already painted my fronts, I'd just need to paint the rears if I keep them. Mine do the same, just surface rust. I just was wondering if that is normal for zinc plating. I assume it is because it would get rubbed off when braking.

Zinz plating is only surface deep, so the braking surface will get a real light layer of rust on it when it contacts moisture. Sorry to hear about your whole situation with WBS. I hate seeing someone get screwed over.

You have WAY too much rust on those rotors. My stockers don't even rust that bad! A guy in my complex has an 03 GT with slotted/drilled rotors, I assume they are zinc coated because they are rust free every time I look.

Mine get rusty on the braking surface if they get wet, so that's normal. The pads wear down the zinc plating which exposes the bare metal, and as soon as the brakes are applied it's gone, till they get wet again.

So what do you guys suggest? Keep the ones I have (and paint them) and get $100 back, or get new rotors with the correct plating?

You paid a pretty penny for those rotors that claimed to be zinc plated. You should have them send you correctly plated rotors and shove the rusted ones up Mike K's  well you get the idea.

Josh that's a mean thing to say....but I agree with you 100%! Tony if you want the plated rotors (which I highly suggest) then have him send you new ones.

Whew Don you had me worried there for a minute, that was a nerve racking ....

I just hate when someone tries to play off something thats wrong when its obviously their fault.

Josh being a business owner I know how important it is to satisfy the customer. Bad feedback travels like wildfire, and I rely on word of mouth to sell my products, so I don't want any negative feedback circulating around.

I put my brackets on Ebay 2 years ago, and I still get people asking me if they are available. It just blows my mind when that happens, and it shows that people never forget when it comes to buying a product.

Good choice Tony, I hope it all works out for you.
