oookay, i feel ya......but how about those who go onto a forum where 80% of the people, all of which are entitled to have and speak their own opinions, do not like rims on a sedan bigger than 20" and the person gets all butthurt when people answer their post. Sure, things got a lil outta hand, but the OP and his spinner lovin buddies kept chiming in with smart ass remarks and perpetuating the situation. Be it here, ClubGP, wherever....if it's an online forum there are going to be people there with their own thoughts and opinions which may not be the same as yours. Its hilarious that some of these people can dish it but can't take it and take things personally as if it actually mattered what the hell someone halfway across the US thinks

Things don't need to be said anywhere for it to be known.. It is what the members make it, and since I've been here, I'd call it mainly a Performance website, with a little Appearance help on the side.

Lowered trucks are for boys who cant get it up

I vote yes on the separate forum for 20" + wheels

I wouldn't lower a 4x4. I would lower a 2WD, it's the only thing they're good for. Or a dually. I'd lower that in a heartbeat.

edit - I wouldn't lower a dually.. I would SLAM that shit!

Wheels are wheels. It doesn't make a lot of sense to separate questions on 18" or 19" wheels from questions on 20" wheels. If the "Suspension, Brakes, Wheels and Tires" section had so many posts that it made it hard to find threads (i.e. more than a page of new/recently updated threads), then it might make sense to spin off a separate "Wheels and Tires" section. This would separate the performance questions (brakes and suspension) from the rims.

^ so, in other words, posting in the correct section(i.e the Appearance/Suspension,Wheels,and Tires area) to begin with would be a good start??

I say do it. Yeah it was funny at first when people with big rims started showing up on GP forums but people bitching about it is starting to get annoying. People are going to do what they want, and honestly who gives a shit? It's their car, if they want to grenade a tranny so they can be flossin, by all means, do it. The Grand Prix is a DYING PLATFORM. There are only a select few of us that are actually still into GP's, so the more the merrier. Hey, there has to be someone that can stand out. We can't all run a GP with 18" 077's or KV5's :P

It should be a subsection under suspension brakes wheels/tires. Not that anyone uses that forum for wheels anymore.. both of the recent big rims threads spawned from either the 04 section or the appearance section.

yeah, but think about how hard some of these guys have worked, and how much $$$ they've spent, to make their GP something more than just another family sedan. to make it TASTEFULLY unique, not just run down to the store and blow a couple grand on chrome wheel pizzas, slap em on, and call it "good looking". Some of these GPs look downright mean as hell, and that's without 22' rims. When I think of this "dying platform", if that is what it's becoming, I like to think of the folks whose vehicles represented "driving excitement" and turned a boring ol' Pontiac into something with so much more potential that what GM could have ever envisioned. Guys like Flip, Rick(RKELC), Malefic, Jason Klingaman, Don Rome.....the list goes on and on. And I can guarantee you not a one of those guys have had 22' rims on their GP. So, with everything I just said, do you really want what's left of this "dying platform" to be overrun with ricers and people who actually think donks are "tasteful"??? I sure as hell don't want to remember GPs, or the GP community for that matter, like that when they finally do die out....just a bunch of punk kids with more money than common sense? No, we're something better

ya i think some people put some stupid ass size rims on their car, but its what they like its like me hatin on someone for putting a gay ass spoiler on their car, i used to have 20s on my old gp, i liked the way it looked but then i got more into performance and bought a gtp, i just tend to ignore people who have to lift there damn car to fit 26in rims, its pathetic, just buy a damn suv or truck..... maybe we should just give people with big ass rims there own spot on this forum, called "big ass rims" or something like that

Come on guys!! Think about it, not everybody here is for advise in performance. This is a very nice forum that's why I decided to join and just because you have 20's on your car that dosen't mean that a car with 18's is better; yes it might run faster but like i said not everybody likes to go fast. I like my car a lot but I rather make it look good than run fast, if i want to go fast I would buy my self a Trans-Am! I do agree that most of the people that buy 20's are ugly and cheap, thats why you have to spend more money to get that rich, nice look on your 20's. Luckily I got my 20's at a good price because my wheels are not cheap!!

^ I don't care about going fast.. that's why I stay in the car audio, and OT parts of the forum a lot.

They should do the same..

I dont see a new for it... there's really not many people who have 20s anyways and this forum has a lot more slack for 20s then clubgp..

This should be the only place to ask for 20"+ rim/tire questions.

OR BETTER YET, JUST EMAIL ME
