mine went to crap after 145,000 rental car miles of use and need new ones the roads are horrid where i live (i have bottomed out with stock ride hight don't tell the guys a Club GP they might think my frames bent) so what is a good strut? also what spring gives the smallest amount of drop i what about a 1/2" drop or less

For what you want, I'd say stock. I think the lowering springs with the least drop are still about 1" drop.

If you are looking for a stock replacement then the KYB GR2's are fine with stock springs. Vogtlands lowering springs give a drop of about 1". Its comparable to the GMPP lowering kit. With lowering springs I would go with KYB AGX's.
