i did some searching for struts because the comp g has 93,000 miles on it and the suspension feels sloppy so im thinking i am way over due for struts...i came across 3 types while i was searching.....factory comp g struts, KYB GR2/Excel G struts, and KYB AGX adjustable struts....ive been trying to decipher which set is going to be best in my searches but havent really figured out a solid answer....as of now i dont plan on lowering the car since it will be driven in the snow but i could always change my mind down the road so having that option would be nice.....any help is appreciated!

If you plan to get the AGX's then you will need the LCA's from a 97-03 for a comp g. The GR2's or the factory comp g's would be fine. You could also do bilsteins but they are pricey.

Hit the nail on head. Plus you'll need a 97-03 front sway bar so it'll add up. Can't go wrong eith either comp g's oe GR2 main difference is price also its a bonus that your not lowering it.

I run KYB Excel G's on my CompG.
It is daily driven in Illinois road/weather conditions.
I hope it sees some snow soon, if it would snow already!

Yes it's a good idea to replace those as well, but I personally wouldn't get the Monroes ZZP sells especially when you can get all 4 OEM ACDelco mounts for about 130 shipped from RockAuto.

Strangely enough, it doesn't appear that Rock Auto has them listed anymore. I checked other Wbodies and different years and no Monroe's popped up, which is odd because I just saw them on the site a month or so ago, but if you type in the P/N (902973 for the fronts) they pop up.

Edit: Nevermind, they list it under "shock mounting kit" and not "strut mount" like all the others.

Vinnie spacers and pogo washers and you'll be set. Gr2/Excel are fine being lowered theres several guys on here and the other sites that had no problems. There cheap compared to Agx

I know its not the same body, but I have been satisfied with my gr2's even being lowered, and will go with them or sensatrack on the 40th.

gpona-community-vendors-f68/lowering-spring-vibration-motor-mount-spacers-t774.html

They are metal spacers that raise the motor/transmission to keep the axle geometry in check when lowering the car.
