Is it possible to add what other factory wheels fit our cars?  As well as the offset for all GP generations?

what is a good low profile tire that would work on the cars? It's going on my 2005 GP GTP. I've got 225/55/17's on it now. I'll be staying with the 17's, but want to know what others on running on their cars that are wider, but low profile??

well after comparing for the past 3 hours or so., I've come up with these 3 sizes. I'm basically looking at the sidewall height. My new rims look gret, but there just seems to be so much side wall, it makes the rims look smaller than they really are.

OE On car Now
225/55/17 - Sidewall Height 4.87"

Looking to buy

225/45/17 - Sidewall Height 3.98" .89" Lower

225/40/17 - Sidewall Height 4.87" 1.33" Lower(Can only find Nitto NT555's in this size)

235/45/17 - Sidewall Height 4.87" .71" Lower

So I wonder if I'm reading my stuff right. If the one tire is .89" lower on the side wall, wouldn't I double that to 1.98" and that's how much lower the car would sit, since the side wall would be the top of the rim to the top of the tire, and the bottom of the rim, to the ground?

OF course I kinow it's circular, lol. Just wondering if I'm thinking into too much, or would it still be only .89" lower??

If I go measure as it sits, I've got the 4.87 top and 4.87 bottom.

Difference for new tire of 3.98" or .89" So the top is 3.98 and bottom is 3.98 meaning .89" difference in both those areas, THUS making it 1.98" lower over all.

Am I right or way the hell off? lol Wow I think I just confused myself!! Anyone see what I'm saying?

I'm not sure I want to go lower on the tire itself now that I think of it. If that's truely a 1.98" drop with a low profile tire, PLUS 1.4" drop with the Eibach springs in front and 1.8" in the rear, we're talking a 3.38" lower in the front, and 3.78" in the rear, putting my NEW front air damn about 3.5" off the ground, lol.

Only one .89" side-wall difference counts towards lowering/raising your car but the tire diameter will change by 2x = 1.78". Standing still, if wheels were attached by 1 bolt on center, everything above center could be chopped off and the car won't raise or lower.

But shouldn't keeping the speedometer reasonably close also be considered?

Here is a handy calculator: http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/infoTireMath.dos

That's correct.

Here is a good link to change tire sizes and see how far off your speedometer will be.
