I' ve got a standard brake set-up on my GP, and was wondering what the best make/type of brake pads would be best? Cheers.

I used PowerSlot rotors on the front of the Cutty, and Satisfied GS5 pads. They were a potent combination.

I can get EBC Green Stuff pads easily enough, but are they any good? Current pads getting near their limit, so looking for straight replacement. Thanks for the suggestion, Joe.

I went with new Centric slotted rotors and Hawk HPS pads on all four wheels. I'm pretty happy with this setup. On the wife's GP, I just put the Hawk pads on, but no rotors, and now the OEM rotors have a slight warp, so I'll probably put the Centric rotors on hers, too.

I liked the EBC Green's, don't get me wrong. They clamped EBC slotted/dimpled rotors, but when I switched to the Satisfied pads, I replaced the rotors with Power Slot rotors, and the stopping power before the combo was bedded in was better than anything the EBC's ever could give me.

I would get EBC's if I lived in the UK, haha. Since they are based out of Northampton.

Managed to get Brembo discs and generic semi-metallic pads here in the UK, so saved on shipping and customs costs. Brakes are a lot sharper now!!!! Time will tell on how good the pads are, but they seem OK to me. Original discs were completely screwed, with a deep groove where the pads bit on them.

No matter what you get, make sure you follow a break-in procedure as soon as you put them on. I'm needing new brakes and as of now, I'm looking at Centrics and Akebono Proacts all the way around.

Goes without saying, mate. Thanks for the heads-up anyway!

Only had to stop sharp once in the week since they were fitted, all because a car in front's brake lights weren't working when he stopped. Other than that I'm quite enjoying just cruising around!
