So I tried searching (both here and the "other" GP site) however I don't seem to be finding what I'm looking for. I've decided to get some cross drilled and slotted rotors but, in all honesty, I don't know which is a good brand that makes quality rotors. I've seen the set on ZZP however I was wondering if there are any other brands out there which do the zinc coating, chamfering for the *drilled* holes and just generally hold up well. One thing I do know is that I would need a rotor with the holes (and slots, even) cast into the rotor - none of this after-casting drilled stuff otherwise the holes have a much higher chance of stress cracking.

Also, same question goes for brake pads - looking for ultra low dust (ceramic) and something which would be on the performance side. I've had Raybestos' semi-ceramic in the past and while I don't have any complaints about that, I would like to get a more aggressive / performance targeted pad (again, something with (ultra) low dust).

Thanks in advance for the input - it's appreciated.

-Nathan

Just skip drilled, or any combination of drilled AND slotted (they don't really do anything anyway other than decrease thermal capacity of the rotor and crack since rotors with holes casted in are quite rare and cost a pretty penny) and get slotted (Powerslot would probably be the best choice), which do actually help with degas and deglaze pads or even blanks if you don't intend of beating on the brakes hard on a seminormal basis. Looks < functionality of the most important component of the car.

As for pads, I've always heard good things about Hawk HPS's, and will be running them on my cars very soon, but if you want to stay with Ceramics, Hawk's "Performance Ceramic" has good reviews as well. Just be careful, some low dust, "performance" pads, tend to squeal when cold.

Bought these on ebay from R1Concepts.... (look in the SOLD section, you'll see my name)

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... OC:US:1123

No complaints for the past 3 months (although I don't drive the car much)...But they can stop the car on a dime and they look sweet too!!! (Zinc coating a must!!)

Powerslot rotors rock. I used them on the Cutlass with Satisfied GS5 pads, and they kicked SERIOUS ass.

I had the power slot rotors in the GP and ran the Hawk pads, I liked them a lot.

Can't say anything for rotors on the GP, I never found anything decent. The DBA rotors on the STi are awesome but I doubt DBA makes anything that fits the GP.

However, Hawk HPS pads are fantastic. Don't let the fact that they're semi-mettalic turn you off, they dust less than a lot of ceramic pads.

Another one for powerslots and jawk pads. I will be going back to powerslots shortly.

Thanks for the feedback... it's given me some things to think about. One thing I would also like to look into would be to see what StopTech, Baer and Brembo have to offer in the way of rotors (and possibly pads).

Thanks again for the responses.

I'm pretty sure none of those 3 even make rotors or pads in stock 04+ GP sizes

I have StopTech rotors, and for the affordable price they were for my poor self at the time, they've treated me well.

I'm sure any combination you go with will out perform what you have on the car currently. A GP will never reach limits of slotted rotors or ceramic pads, so both will treat you well regardless of brand, I'm sure.

Centric, StopTech, and Powerslot are all made by the same company. The Centric and StopTech rotors for our car are the same part. When I ordered Centric rotors for my GP some of the paperwork said Centric and some said StopTech. I'm not sure if Powerslot is the same, but I suspect they might be.

This setup seems to work well

Avoid drilled, worst thing you can do. Putting a good set of quality pads on the car will make all the difference.
