Sorry man! Peer Pressure's a b***h! lol

R1 Concept Drilled and Slotted Rotors (Zinc Coated)
Hawk Ceramic Pads
Stop on a dime!(Well, at least within 3 inches from an idoit that pulls out in front of you) Zinc coating has held up well for about 6 months now. Depends on how you drive, but it produces some brake dust.
A to B+

Beautiful brake set-up, Ugly ass rims!

I'm seriously considering the calipers from an early 80s Toyota truck. 4 piston, and dirt cheap.

R1concepts zinc plated drilled/slotted rotorx, friction master (a.k.a. morse) ceramic pads, repowdercoated calipers, black powdercoated brackets, rebuilt.

1 being lowest/worst, 10 being highest slash best

performance over stock - 9/10

performance compared to friends f-body setup - 7/10

zinc plating - 9/10 (very good, still no rust)

brake dust - 8/10 (very low dusting, incredibly better than semi-metallic pads)

ease of install - 10/10 (ive done a lot of brake work, so im used to it. easy stuff at this point)

overall - 8/10 (will buy again)

Good topic. I'll partake in this, why not.

Front:
2000 Camaro Front Brake Calipers (F-Body)

Mods: drilled out the stock mounting bolt holes and re tapped for my stock W-Body bolts to be used.
disassembled, casting mark/edge that was left on the front of the caliper when it was made machined off, and calipers and brackets powder coated "Red Barron Red" then fully rebuilt using all new GM Parts. Good Ridge stainless brake lines.

Rotors: Roto-Tech cross drilled and slotted - flat black painted rotor hats
Pads: Wagner
Image

Rear brakes:
Stock caliper, disassembled, powder coated the same color as the front, and rebuilt as well. Good Ridge stainless brake lines.

Rotors: Roto -Tech cross drilled and slotted - flat black painted rotor hats
Pads: Wagner
Image
Image

what I use to paint my brake rotor hats:
Image

My brakes I give a 5 out of 5 rating for feel, and stopping ability. Before, with the stock brakes...I would rate them at a 2.5 to a close 3 out of 5 for the same. They sucked.

The GF's GTP
Front and rear stock calipers, disassembled, powder coated "signal blue" and fully rebuilt by me.
Rotors: O'Reilly's house brand of rotors on the front, still on her original stock ones rear I believe.
Pads: Wagner.
Image

I dont get to drive her car much, but when I do, I would give her brakes a good soild 4 out of 5 rating.

12" Impala/Monte Carlo caliper brackets (front)
Centric slotted rotors (front & rear)
Powerstop ceramic pads (front & rear)

Overall performance:
These were a significant improvement over stock. I noticed the difference as soon as I started breaking in the rotors. The pads are very quiet, and produce very little dust.
The biggest improvement I noticed was in the rain. Before, the brakes would fade horribly when they got wet. Now, they still fade a little when first applied in the rain, but it's a lot less than it was before.

After Powder Coating:
Image Image
The Calipers were "too red", so they went back for an other try. (don't quite match the rear Comp-G calipers)
Image Image
After resurfacing:
Image
The rotors weren't "true" and the zinc wasn't 100% (started seeing rust)
Somehow 1 rotor is more warn than the other...
I won't have SS Lines, but should look much better than the F-Body set-up I'm removing to install this one.

I'll add pix from the swap once I get my calipers back.

that would be the shops fault

they put it all on w/o rebuilding the calipers

so they seized and the asshats tried to do a burnout...

thats also the same shop i got whiplash in from them using diesel for engine cleaner

He said if it's not close enough he'll do the rears for $10

They aren't crimson like the rears, but we'll see how it turns out
