Hey guys, Im looking to upgrade my rear sway bar since I recently replaced struts and end links. I was going to replace my rear sway bar bushings and I figured that it would be a good time to upgrade the sway bar to improve the ride. I've been searching post trying to figure out which sway bar to get for my 04gpgt2. I see there is a 18mm and 19mm sway bar available and I can't decide which sway bar is the best. Are these both hollow? I've seen two different part numbers for these sway bars reading the post here. Gmpp part # 12498642 http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/results.cf ... =o12498642 and GM PART # 10351314.
Gmpp part # 12498642 is listed for 97-2003 grand prix, will these work for 04+?
GM PART # 10351314 is listed as "shaft" on gmpartsdirect.com....huh? Is this the 18mm sway bar?
Which one would you recommend? For those of you that have installed one, do any of you think your ride is too stiff now for a daily driver?

I'm also looking to replace the trailing arms but it sounds like the gmpp TAs aren't available anymore. I don't want to spend a lot so I was thinking about getting the Dorman solid boxed trailing arms for around $25. It sounds like the widebody store has the same ones listed for $50

Gmpartsdirect took almost a MONTH to send my the GMPP handling upgrade kit, i.e., front and rear sway bars, 2 strut tower braces, of which they forgot to send one and have yet to return my emails. That's just my personal experience with them. Their price was great though, so if you're not on a schedule, you can save a few bucks.

Check HT Motorsports for the trailing arms... I replaced those as well.

I did my rear trailing arms, sway bar, end links (moog) and strut tower brace with Don Rome brace brackets. I can honestly say it was a HUGE difference in keeping things tight. Next day I did fron lower control arms (moog), sway bar(gmpp), end links(energy suspension), bushings (energy suspension) and the difference was insane, almost NO BODY roll around a turn although my rubber will now need upgrading to meet the new tight suspension, lol.

My brother ordered the GMPP handling kit from them and he got them within a week. It has been said that the GXP trailing arms are the same as the GMPP's. Don't quote me on that. UMI performance and BMR also sell tubalr trailing arms. My brother got the BMR's and they are beefy compared to the GMPP's that I have on mine. The dorman's are still the boxed design. I can't really say how much of an upgrade that is comapared to the stock U shaped trailing arms. I do agree the design is better than the factory design.

Good info. Coolone, how much did you pay for the HT Motorsports trailing arms? They seem like they maybe pricey considering they don't list the price haha.

Also are the gmpp and comp g rear sway bars the same? If so what one is better?
Thanks

Sorry for my absence and delay in replying. I paid $110 shipped for the set. A real good price compared to BMR, which is more than that per side. They're tubular Poly bushings with grease fittings and new bolts to boot. Lol. The stock TA's I could twist in my hands, the HT TA's and rear strut tower brace made a huge difference. :)
