At the ol' junk yard I've found the brakes off a 07 Impala LS will fit my 04 comp g. Still debating on install them, they are the same size rotors but are a dual piston brake set up. Only problem I see are brake pads, I have ceramic pads which I can't find for an 07 LS.

Also, I was looking for a dipstick last time I was there, I noticed the old buicks have a strut tower braces in them. I just installed ZZP STB and when I saw the old buick's had them I decided I needed to find out if anyone's tried this as an alternative before.

This pic shows what I'm talking about; http://carphotos.cardomain.com/ride_ima ... _large.jpg

Really the only parts that would matter is where it bolts to the struts, it looks like you'd be able to get that middle bar out to extend it or strengthen it.
What do you guys think?

I can't comment on the brake pads, but as far as the strut brace goes, you'll just have to measure it up to find out.

the dual piston brakes should be the same as the gxp and the camaro. I believe they have ceramics at autozone. You might laugh but I have been using autozone's C-max ceramic brakes with a lifetime warrenty and they have been great. Plus when the go bad I just have to bring them back and get a new pair for free.

Not a bad idea. No autozone around where I am though. I rebought the brakes from the junk yard today, probably sand them down, paint them and throw them on see what happens. The Impala brakes are differant then the GXP, the GXP have bigger drilled rotors. As for the size of the pistons I couldnt tell you if they are the same size or not.

i dont know about the stb you showed but the 97- 05 ish regal uses the stock gm stb (gmpp style) and those can be found somewhat easy.
