Got some 300c dual piston calipers layin around the shop. an was curious if thes would fit...? the caliper bolt holes are just 41/2 inches, wat is a GP caliper bolt hole distance? And the disk are 13in too with a 2 in backspacing

Never mind.. working at a body has some great pros.. one being gxp brakes for a 100 bucks! will have them monday and will be on by next weekend!!

not to thread jack OP but i just replaced pads...what pads do the impala calipers use?

Different ones than the GP that's all I know haha. The Impala dual pistons are the same as the F-body ones but are cast iron instead of aluminum and the brackets are a direct bolt on, unlike the Fbody brackets. Not sure how they compare to GXP calipers, but for the price it's a darn good deal for a dual piston swap.

Just use Impala pads and rotors.

I'm pretty sure all the 2006 & up Impala's had the larger brakes. In 2006 they changed over to the current body style.

I thought it was the 06+. I know my friends 01 Impala has regular single piston GP/Wbody style brakes.

This is correct.

The advantage the impala/monte carlo calipers/brakcets have over f-bodies is that they bolt up using the stock hardware, while f-body brackets need to be tapped.
