is it worth it to do C/D over OEM? im tired of the rust OEM get and i know that R1 consepts c/d are zinc plated. but i have heard a lot of crap about the drilled having problems if they arent done right

now onto pads, if i get c/d, what pads work well with them? are semi mettallic any good?

found these 2 on ebay

w/ semi metallic pads-

I use and like Satisfied GS5 pads. I use them on the Cutty, along with PowerSlot rotors. I have ZERO complaints. I had EBC GreenStuff pads before, and they were good as well. Drilled & slotted are more appearance than anything. Slotted is functional, drilled, less so.

I just installed a set of blank rotors from R1 with hawk pads. I had replaced the powerslots/hawk combo that I had for awhile. The rotors do look nice and are plated. But the plating on the rotors has already come off. They did show rust after I washed the car two weeks after having them on. I did paint the rotor hats before I installed them on the car. So no rust there. I did the 12" brake upgrade and I could not pass on the set of blank rotors for around $90. Other than that the rotors have been doing their job. I would have went with the cross drilled and slotted but they are mostly for appearance.

I am running the powerslot rotors and hawk pads on all 4's. No complaints.
