That's what I heard about the comp G suspension, they say it rides really stiff and that you could feel everything on the road.

I want to get a new suspension but I'm debating on the two. I'm gonna aim on getting some used GXP struts. I never could find Comp G struts for sale.

I'm using the KYB struts. I have them in the back right now and I'm working on getting them in the front. I need to get the WBS control arms so they will fit, but the advantage of getting them is that I can get the stronger GMPP front sway bar. I already got the GMPP tubular arms and Comp G sway bar in the rear and it's a really hard ride right now. Oh, i'm also using eibach spring on all the wheels.

I can make really hard turns too. At 30-40 mph I start drifting. :P

the comp-g handles like a dream, just a rough ride on the road at times. it actually feels better at higher speeds than at lower ones.. and yeah, i rip around corners a lot. hahaha!

i love doing on ramps in this thing. it's probably my favorite. cause i can shoot up them and turn and just feel like i'm putting along. then i pass people and they get pissed that they're getting passed by a grandma prix. :)

    Here's my suspension to date:
  • 2003 Lower Control Arms (11/27/2008)
  • KYB AGX Struts w/ ZZP Anti Pogo Washers (11/27/2008)
  • SSC Original Drop Lowering Springs 1.7 Inch Drop (11/27/2008)
  • GMPP 2003 Front Sway Bar w/ Energy Suspension Poly End Links (11/27/2008)
  • GMPP Rear Trailing Arms (7/18/2007)
  • GMPP Front & Rear Strut Tower Braces (7/11/2007)
  • Polished Aluminum STB Mounts - DonRome (6/28/2007)
  • Poly Upper Motor Mounts - Off-Set - Red (4/3/2007)
  • Poly Trans Mount - Red (4/3/2007)
  • Cradle Spacers - 1/2 installed rears only so far (4/3/2007)

She rides a lil rough but I like it that way
I really "feel the road", and I am much more comfortable about the ride that way
I believe I could have just had the end-link mounts welded to my control arms, but this was much easier...
I loved the Comp-G suspension, but it was getting tired at 85k miles...
I really would have to drive a Comp-G with new suspension and compare it to my set-up to really be able to tell what I like better...
I sure as hell love the lower stance, and having the 4way adjustable struts is great! I set them to "2" when we goto the store or take the kids out,... I set to "4" when I want to rip around town!
Needless to say, I would do it again in a heartbeat!!!

I was thinking also of the KYB struts but I thought they only fit in the back. I didn't know there was a way of putting them in the front. Just wondering how much more work is it to get them to fit? I like the fact that you could adjust them at anytime. Also just wondering whats better KYB struts or GXP struts?

GXP Struts are the best ones, but you're going to pay for them. They are 2-3x more expensive than the other options listed.

The KYB/Comp G struts are around $400-450 a set, the GXPs are $1100. That would include shipping, using Monsterparts as a reference.

Also, there is a guy selling a used set of GXPs, painted blue, and already have Eibach lowering springs mounted/top plates.

He wants $700 USD, that's a GOOD deal!

I run the CompG's but would have gone with the GXP's if they didn't cost an arm and a let.

$400 vs $800............... I didn't need to think about it long.

Don't forget about rear trailing arms, I think this is one of the most overlooked parts and you will notice a very big difference. The rear end will stay in line with the front by eliminating most of the flex. Also, it's a relatively cheap upgrade ;-)

Very true
My stock trailing arms were bent when I replaced them
Very weak part of our suspension!

i replace my trailing arms when one of them snapped while i was driving down the road. the trailing arm already was bent (did not know that though) and the arm just sheared apart right in the middle.

Cheapest is Monsterparts, but their price went up to $44, it was $40 a few weeks ago. Still not bad, you can pay less for them shipped from there vs the cost of them from ZZP.
