From what I have read most of the stores are out of them. You should keep an eye out for some in the classifides section. UMI makes them for the 1 body as well. I read elsewhere that the trailing arms from a GXP are tubular and are GMPP's.

^ This is correct. Just use the trailing arms from a GXP, they are the exact same as GMPP trailing arms. Or order some new from GMPartsDirect or MonsterParts, but since they are essentially the same thing I dunno how many they would have for sale, if any. You could always check with MoradParts, he is a vendor on this site who owns a GM FrontWheelDrive vehicle salvage yard, has any part you could think of. Good luck!

Those are lateral arms for an 04+ not trailing arms. I had my dealer search part# 12498649 for me, there are only two dealerships in the nation that stock these (the last two brand new trailing arms), the GMC dealer in Hiawatha IA and the Chevy dealer in Mc Allen TX. This was as of a month ago but since I'm deciding to buy the BMR arms I might as well share the info.

The part number is 12498649 for the trailing arms. They have them listed at monsterpartsonline.com but I don't know if they have them in stock.

I'm new to this suspension modding. What is the difference between the trailing arm and the lateral arms Morad has on eBay?

The lateral arms are different than the trailing arms, so the ones that Morad has won't work for what you want.

Don't they still sell them if you look up the P/N for a GXP?

I found these trailing arms at Rockland Auto for a GXP and they seem to be just like the GMPP parts. The one in the picture is made by Moog and the part number is K6402 and the price is $38 each.

http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/moreinfo.php?pk=202997

This one is made by RAYBESTOS and the part number is 4351121 {Professional Grade} and the price is $45 each.

http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/moreinfo.php?pk=1030858

Here's the page where you can buy them. They cost more than the GMPP parts but at least they are available.

http://www.rockauto.com/dbphp/x,carcode ... g_Arm.html

I did find the GXP trailing arms at monster parts and they were about $30 each, but it didn't give the part number.

Thank you VERY much Don! So if I try my luck at the dealer and ask for the trailing arms from a "07" GXP they would work? If they had any... I will check out the links you provided asap so I can get em from them.. Thanks again everyone!

I think I found the part number for the GXP trailing arms and Pace Performance says they are discontinued. You can ask your dealer about them and see what they say. Here's the number from GM Parts Direct but they show it as a special order part, so they might not have them either.

GM PART # 15856683
CATEGORY: Rear Axle Control Arm
PACK QTY: 1
CORE CHARGE: $0.00
GM LIST: $39.69
OUR PRICE: $23.52

If you don't have any luck getting the GXP arms, I suggest the Moog or Raybestos ones I posted above. Another one I saw that was about $20 each and looked solid was made by Mevotech, and the part number is MEMK6402. It says it's for the Impala but the suspension is the same as the Grand Prix.

The GMPP trailing arms were a nice upgrade for the price, I installed a set on my '98 a few years back. If you can still get the GXP trailing arms through the dealer, go for it. I would avoid the Moog and Raybestos ones, as the pics suggest they copied the crappy stock stamped steel design (Note the two sets of holes for the ABS wiring clips). The tubular style has no holes. ;-)
Aside from the BMR trailing arms, there's the UMI Performance ones The Guz mentioned, and the new ZZP trailing arms

The stock trailing arms are a U channel, at least mine were on my 2004. And I just looked at them to confirm that since I still have them in my garage. The Moog trailing arms are round and tubular just like the GMPP trailing arms, and the 2 holes won't effect the stiffness of them.

Thanks Don, I've never seen the Moog arms before now, and I couldn't tell if they were tubular from the angle of the pic. ;-)

From looking at those pics I dont believe the Moogs or the Mevotechs are solid tubular arms. At the angle of the Moog pic, the white you can see through those 2 holes must be the surface the bar is sitting on. That means the bottom must be open, i.e. a u-channel. I believe the Mevotechs are rounded at the top and flat at the bottom, also a u.

I got my BMRs yesterday. They look like you could chop a tree down with them. Seriously guys, if you can afford the $140 bucks or so shipped, they are well worth it. I had a bunch of BMR stuff on my 2001 WS6 and there is nothing better. They are 1/4 inch bigger than the UMI bars. All the others but those 2, and you are just kidding yourselves. They are nearly twice as big as the GMPP bars on my other GP. The ZZP arms are another 1/4 inch yet smaller than the UMIs.

I cant wait to put these, the GMPP rear bar, Moog rear end links, Moog front end links, and Energy Suspension poly sway bar bushings on the 2007 on Saturday!!

BMR is good stuff but it's kind of pricey. I think you're right about the Moog bars being open on the bottom, but the Raybestos arms do look to be solid all the way around.

That picture of the Raybestos arm on the Rock Auto site is looking right into the bottom of the U......

You must have better eyes than me because it looks solid to me. The pictures could be a lot better though, that way we could see more detail.
