I installed a gmpp rear sway bar the other day and now, I hear a metal on metal sound whenever I hit a bump. I looked under the car and it looks like the frame and sway bar are rubbing. I made sure the sway bar is spaced correctly and torqued everything to spec. Any advice on fixing this? Thanks.

It should not be close to the frame. Any chance you put it in backwards??

It looks like the rear sway bar only fits one way. I took the gmpp one out and compared it to my old one and the gmpp one is about 2 inches shorter from end to end. Does this sound right? The part # on the sway bar is 10351314. Should this fit a 2001 Grand Prix? I bought the sway bar used.

That doesn't look like the correct part number. My GMPP Rear Sway Bar is part number 12498642. I've had it on for about a week now with no issues.

I just looked up your part number on gmpartsdirect.com. It didn't come up with a sway bar for that part number. Your sway bar is probably not a GMPP sway bar.

Well, it certainly should not be 2 inches shorter, and I am not sure if that is the correct part number. My rear bar is also 12498642, but your number does pull up a sway bar for 2004 GP with sport suspension. That may be the Comp G number. Not sure what happened, but I am still wondering if it is flipped, like many do on the front bar to get more clearance for headers.

There's really only one way it can go. I tried flipping it and there wasn't enough clearance so I put my old one back in the same way and it works fine. I think it's that the new sway bar is 2 inches shorter than the stock one, causing the bend to come in about an inch early and hit the frame.
