that looks like a 97-03 sway bar, 04+ the sway bar connects directly to the strut.

That is probably right for an 07/08. They switched back to the old set up sometime in late 2006 or so. My 2007 GT, bought new in Feb 2007, has the same 33 mm front bar that I put on my 2000 GTP. Endlinks attach to lower control arm.
