Replacing front sway bar on an 04 gp for the GMPP fsb. Trying to remove the front sway bar and the bolts for the bushing just keep turning. Any tips if this has happened to anyone else. Im about to just cut them and replace the hardware.

No tips on the bolt, but I hope you have replaced the control arms with the older style in order to do this swap.

Are you talking about the vertical links? One on each side? If so, just cut them and replace. They're under $10 each.

or if you don't have a saws-all or something to cut them with just tighten them until they break.

To get the links off...

Vice grips on one side and wrench on the other side...if that don't work...angle grinder

Pulling the sway bar can be a serious bitch...

So put the jack under the cradle and drop the two rear subframe bolts and then slowly lower the jack about 2 inches, you can slide the sway bar right out the back. Then install the same way.

If your using the GMPP sway are you swapping over to the 97-03 LCA's?

Not the end links. Its the where the two bushings for the sway bar are bolted to the frame. Two bolts on each bushing. Can get the passengers side off, but the drivers side keeps turning.

And yes I already did the lca's.

No the bolt is not moving. I got the passenger side off, but the drivers side will just keep on turning.

One of the bolt sleeves you can grab (the one on the rear of the cradle). The front if it is spinning and you cant grab it, you're last resort is to get a side cutter(don't use a torch because the aluminum burning will make you sick) and take a small piece out of the cradle to get a pair of pliers or vise grips in on the sleeves. To get the sway bar out it is much easier to remove one tie rod end from the steering knuckle. You with have just enough wiggle jiggle room.

Yea I was hoping not to cut the cradle at all, but I don't think I have much choice. I may take a small hole saw to it. Thanks

Good luck. And that small piece you'll be removing won't effect anything
