Listen, why would ZZP sell a kit that wasn't gonna work? Also you really don't comprehend well, my suggestion, just put down the wrench and walk away. This is not rocket science, we are talking 2 bolts on a caliper and thats it. Yes it all fits, you need to learn how to use the internet and research, the link I have provided has given more than enough info you just choose to read what you want. ZZP sells it as a kit, it includes everything you need and will fit 16" wheels.

I think the person you talked to on the phone was technical oriented, it was just you who wasn't.

Maybe instead of giving the guy a run around people could have just said yes it will bolt on, yes the 16" wheel will fit, no the donut won't work, why would they sell a kit that didn't work. Instead he gets a bunch of offhand talk about offsets and stock rotors and 14" rotors and other things that weren't even related to his questions. No wonder the guys confused. Whatever happened to people being chill and understanding on this site. I thought that crap was honda and mitsubishi forums. Not everyone comprehends at the same speed, so what if he asks to ask 2 or 3 times no ones perfect.

He did get all those answers in my first post. Then a new question was raised about f body rotors fitting, and then bolt pattern and different calipers came up. All legitimate things to discuss in this thread, they're all relevant.

and no body said anything about 14" rotors until he said something about it, cause I linked to an important thread FULL of information. All he did was skim it real fast and all he came back with was something about how 14" rotors made no sense.

I do not spoonfeed often, he was lucky I was so nice.

So, if the donut spare doesn't fit over upgraded f-body/corvette calipers, what have people done for a spare? Get a full-size??? No spare at all? I'm thinking of upgrading to the f-bodies, but I'd need to have a spare to fit, I think.

If you get a flat tire on your front, you take a back tire off, put it on the front then put the donut on the rear. No full sized spare required. And it's never really a good idea to have a donut on the front which does a majority of the braking/turning anyhow.

That's what I have to do with my car even with a full size 16" spare cause it won't fit over my brakes.

OK. Sad to say, I never even thought of that.

It's cool. You'd be surprised how many people overlook that.

Guys, you dont use fbody rotors, you use fbody pads/brackets on newer w body rotors. and your fine....

I have twin piston fbodys from a ws6 trans am, brackets, bushings set to go after a rebuild and some powdercoating...

When Im ready, I will be ordering ebay cross drilled rotors, prob gunna tell them for an 05 monte carlo or sometthing, and get hawk hps ceramics.... Prob not touching the rears in 2011, other than to throw on a set of the same pads on the rear... maybe next year I will do a GXP set up on the back end....

There is a stickied thread on this on CGP...

http://www.clubgp.com/newforum/tm.asp?m=2434239

Sorry Im late to this party guys, but I just HAD to chime in... LOL

OP: dont get frustrated, everyone who contributed to this thread is actually trying to help you... BUT like many have said, if you arent confident, then the onus is on YOU to read and read some more and read more again before you attempt this.... Brakes are not to be taken lightly.... (Obvious I hope).

I personally would never buy "the kit" from ZZP when I can put a "kit" together myself for alot less....

Knowledge is power dude.

As for fitting under 16 inch rims... Ive actually seen Corvette C5 calipers fitting under 16 inch torque stars on a 98 GP GTP Pace Car.... So I HIGHLY doubt you have to worry about that... remember the basic architecture of 04s and up really isnt all that different from 97-03s.... just mroe refined...

Drunkie did work this cat over though... But he prob deserved it. LMAO
