I have a line on Brand New 06 CTS 13 in. Duel Piston calipers and rotors for the front and backs. I know the Bolt pattern is the same so all I need to know is if they will bolt right on. PLEASE LMK.

Thanks

There is an entire thread on the ls1tech.com forum I have been keeping an eye on and the guy has not been having much luck on it.
I will post up the link tomorrow when I get home but it is under the LS4 owners. How did you get ahold of 13" brakes for this? It should be 14 inches....

Reybesto has calipers for for the performance packages available for the CTS. Not the V series. Here they are. I sware they look just like GXP's and use the same exact pads. They even have 13 in rears available so this is what I want done. Here are the links for the Calipers.

Here is the parts available for the 06 CTS.
http://www.autoitoolbox.com/Raybestos/Parts.aspx

Here is the right Caliper for the JE2 Perf. Package
http://www.raybestos.com/wps/portal/ray ... dName=BDBL

Here is the rotors for the front
http://www.raybestos.com/wps/portal/ray ... dName=BDBL

Rear Calipers for 13 in rear
http://www.raybestos.com/wps/portal/ray ... dName=BDBL

and here is the rear rotor
http://www.raybestos.com/wps/portal/ray ... dName=BDBL

LMK what you think.

That little "V" makes a difference  Those look exactly like the PBR calipers used on the GXP models, outside diameter on the front rotors is exactly the same so it should be a direct bolt on part. Nice find on these since it is getting harder to find the GXP brakes. Just don't forget the recommendation is to do the front OR the rears since pedal feel will suffer greatly if you do them all the way around.

http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/ls4-front ... gxp-5.html

Here is the thread in the ls1 forum I was talking about, check out the bottom of page four and the upgrade is relatively inexpensive (about $600) compared to the alternatives out there.

Get a bigger master cylinder, and that problem will no longer exist.

I was thinking about that but is it a direct swap and will you still retain ABS or lose it? I know it is a simple case of knowing how to pump the brake but just curious none the less. Let's keep this thread going since there will probably be some great information in here for both swaps that a lot of owners can use.

Good Idea. I am ordeing them today when I get in to work and I will get the rear as well cause I want to see if the 13's will fit on the rear. I will post pics when the get here. I should have them by Monday. I know the rotors fit the rear but the calipers are the problem. The only problem as stated before, once I get them, im stuck with em so If they dont fit, I will have to find a CTS or STS owner who needs some. LOL

I would bet that the mounting is different, and the parking brake. IIRC, the CTS uses an electric parking brake.

If that is the case, then those will not work at all but it is still good to know the information for the fronts so people can still do the 13" upgrade if they so choose. Now about those brembo's.....

I put the CTS fronts on two years ago.. They work fine, but I needed a washer to shim the bracket so that the rotor would sit perfectly in the middle instead of dragging slightly on the outside. I put GXPs on, they are a lot lighter, but they really do work about the same.

FYI, brake pads on the GXPs (Hawks) are the same ones used on CTS-Vs.. Part number showed the application was for both cars.

I would love to know this too since the 2010 STS has rotors for the 5x115 pattern that work with the V-series calipers (4-piston fixed). IF the CTS calipers will work, that means there is now a dirt cheap brembo upgrade for GPs.

The CTS-V calipers will not work with our application. Someone has all ready tried.

Nevermind, I was thinking of a Z06 conversion onto a GP but it was a lot of adjustments in order to make it work.
