well i bought some new wheels an while i was test fitting them i noticed the had some small cracks on some of the drill holes.. fyi i have a gxp fronts. and i already got new rotors tonight an pads but anyone know if its common or what?!

It's common for low quality drilled rotors. Not sure if your GXP rotors were OEM or not, even then though they can still crack, just not as likely as cheaper made ones.

Some is normal, relatively speaking. A drilled rotor will crack like that. If they are cast with the holes, which is VERY uncommon, the likelihood of cracking is diminished. Show us pics...but I bet what you're having isn't cause for concern.

Ok ill try an get a pic.. the cracks are only on a couple holes an are maybe 1/16 to a 1/8 in long very small

90% of the ebay drilled and slotted are cast rotors btw

No, joe means, the casting mold includes the holes, not a blank is cast then holes are drilled in it afterwards (secondary machining process). Any rotor, even a name brand one like Brembo, becomes compromised if a hole is drilled into it. Rotors which have the holes molded into them are much much better because the metal is more structurally sound on a molecular level aka grain structure. No inform grain structure along the leading edges of the holes leads to stress cracks when continually heat cycled.
