I'm looking to do some brake upgrades on my Comp-G this winter, but I need help choosing which setup.

Those that have done the GXP setup on the 04 and up cars: did you notice any changes to the brake pedal feel or pedal travel. ***Does anyone have first hand knowledge if the 10 spoke comp-g wheel will fit over the brakes without any problems?***

Those that have the F-body setup: was there a noticeable improvement over the stock brakes, and how about pedal travel and feel afterwards?

and finally the corvette calipers with f-body brackets: was there a noticeable improvement over the stock brakes, and how about pedal travel and feel afterwards?

Thanks in advance

GXP brakes are the way to go.. You can use your wheels with them too.. Only problem is your spare tire will not fit over them..

I would only do the fronts.. I have them around & the pedal is not as good as just having the fronts.. ( PEDAL feels soft for the first inch or two )

I'm doing the corvette/f-bodies tomorrow actually.

I got my corvette calipers for a good price

I ended up doing my whole setup for...

4 Drilled Rotors (rotorpros) - $200
Hawk HPS pads all around - $100 (clearance item on the f-body pads)
f-body brackets - $70
Corvette Calipers - free
SS lines - $50 (forum member bought them and never used them and i snagged them)

so $420 for my setup

I'm thrifty and try to piece things over a period of time and try and snag stuff used if I can.

Hey Dave, Let me know how you like the corvette brakes. I'm leaning that way, I cant find GXP stuff in the price range I want to pay.

Let me know If you notice an increase in pedal travel or a softer pedal feel. Thanks
