My brakes are gonna need a replacement pretty soon..I think my rotors might be ok...but in case they're not...

is there a brake upgrade for the 04+ crowd?
Would GXP brakes bolt up?
and the f-body upgrade..is that still considered an "upgrade" on the 04+ non comp-g/non GXP vehicles?

in case both of those would work...which would be better?

Thanks!

Id think any GP model brakes would work, the bolt patterns are the same however the caliper bracket might need to be swapped out as well.

Who has the cross-drilled cheap?

I dont want to pay top dollar for something I can find at a deep discount somewhere.

are the stopping times improved drastically with the changeover or should I get a set of baer or brembos?

Nice! Thanks Flip! Those are stock GXP rotors? I may have to give Mr. Morad a call... ;) Are the front and rear rotor size different along with the wheels, or are all four the same?

Cross drilled = cheap. Get blanks. I have owned just about every setup on these cars and blanks are best rotors hands down.

Slotted = dust
Drilled = crack
Blank = stop

I totally agree.

As for rotors, I cannot stress enough, Do not get used ones for a nice car. They aren't that expensive, and will serve you way better than anything you can get used. I also recommend getting a top dollar pad like the Wagner Thermo Quiet. If you install them properly, there is no squeeking, very good braking, no dust, and long life. Of course that is my opinion, and I'm sure someone else will chime in with their favorite.

I have slotted only Ebay rotors with Morse ceramic pads and they don't dust at all. They stop smooth and amazing well! These are the rotors I got for $184 shipped, and I just told them I wanted slotted only when I sent the payment. A couple other members bought the same rotors and they are happy with them too.

That may be true on most rotors Vinnie, but the GXP rotors are actually cast drilled. They aren't blanks that are drilled after, but they are expensive!
