Well guys, I've decided to paint my brakes red finally. So I completely removed my front brakes and painted them red and re-installed them without any problems. (I'll post pictures later).

Today I began on the rear, but could manage to completely remove them because of the emergency brake lines. So I used rags and newspaper to cover up the brake parts. I did how ever removed the brake lines since I wanted to flush out the old fluid to replace it with a better one. When I was done I re-installed them and discovered that my driver side was leaking, so I spent a good amount of time trying to figure out how to fix the problem. Removing it and re-installing it, etc. When I finally fixed the leak, thats when I started hearing drops from the other side leaking...

fed up with this problem I turn to you guys for some advice.

Well I took care of the problem, but now I don't have pressure on the brake pedal now and it's really hard to stop.

You have air in the lines and you have to bleed it out.

ok, well I bleed the brakes- and yes through the ABS (if you have a drum brakes it's on the car wall behind the wheel) and I think it's ok. The brakes feel much more smoother and I have control over how hard I stop than before. It use to brake much harder- I could barely brake smoothly.

My first time doing this + painting the brakes and it took me 3 days .

Now I gotta get drilled and slotted rotors and a sticker that says "Grand Prix" for the brakes and I'm done with the wheels.

There I fixed it, and I'm glad your brakes work better now that you bled them.

I haven't done anything to the brakes and my pedal is getting soft....

Wait, I did take off the cap a while ago to check the level...of the Brake fluid...Would that do it?

Removing the cap won't induce air into the lines, but as the pads wear, the level goes down so you should top it off. Just remember to take some fluid out if you install new pads, otherwise it will spill over when you push the pistons back in. It's possible that you have a leaky caliper, that can cause air to get in the lines.

In a properly working brake system, you shouldn't have to add brake fluid unless you bleed the system. You should be able to fill it to the full line when you have 4 new brakes and be fine for the life of the brakes. It's a sealed system, and as long as the seal isn't broken it won't lose anything from it.

True but I don't like it when the fluid is at the minimum level, just a peace of mind thing I guess.
