ok so after many hours of reading posts and articles and website info bars, i am still just as lost as when i started.

so i just wanted to maybe receive some clarification.

i need to shocks because my car is becoming floaty. ( 95000 miles )

i intend to keep the stock springs, meaning i would like to keep the stock ride hight.

i would like a firm ride, like maybe sporty, but would not be able to spend $260 a shock.

so what else is there?

GR-2, comp-g, sensa-trac.........

so if i said i had a budget of like 125ish dollars per shocks what would you recommend?

and with the car having 95000 miles on it, should i replace the springs? or do they stay good for a while?

so the basic reason for this post is to find these 2 answers

1) what shocks to purchase for some firm/sporty ride without breaking the bank?

2) do i need to buy new springs if i want to keep stock ride height?

thanks all!

and if it matters i have a base model 2006 GP. FE2 RPO. Thanks

I personally would up grade to GXP shocks, i believe they are Blistens stock if i'm not mistaken which i could very well be because i are noob :P haha, but yea i would go for GXP shocks, as far as the springs go i haven't herd of any problems related with them so i imagine they will be good, you can usually catch a good set on ebay for cheap

Btw Gxp shocks will cause the ride to go up if money wasn't a option i would go those but since we live in the real world I would recommend Kyb Gr2. There great aftermarket shocks and are pretty firm. Comp G are firm as well but cost more. btw stock springs are good no point in replacing. Just get Gr2 + Strut mounts and your good to go and save money
