Are there any handling improvement/mods I can make on a 2004 CompG without changing control arms?

Hey there,

I have a Comp G as well, and I did the following:

Strut Tower Braces on front and rear, using Don Rome's adapters

UMI Rear Trailing Arms

Next step - Not sure! ......coil over spings? 18" rims and tires??

Apparantly our Comp G already has good sway bars and I am not sure if there is anything out there better that is commercially made.

There are others on this fourm who may provide better insight.

Here's a link to my website for the strut braces & mounting brackets. UMI has some nice HD trailing arms that will work well with the STB bars.

www.drcustomparts.com

cool. the UMI trailing arms look nice. what are the brands for the STB Front and Rears? And are there any Rear Swat bar options to beef up the rear sway bar? solid vs hollow

for the DR stb spacers, do they throw off the position of the strut? because the it seems the spacer will move the height of it

The STB bar mounting brackets don't change the position of the struts. I have sold over 500 sets of these parts over the past 5 years and nobody has had any issues.

The rear sway bar on the comp G is the upgraded solid version. Other GP's besides the GXP has the standard hollow version.

zzp coilovers with 97-03 LCA with ES bushings and stronger balljoints = TOTAL WIN! I'm headed that way. I wanna upgrade the coilover springs to 400/350# springs

If you wanna go even further...

Custom Lower Tie bar and Custom Subframe Connectors

Hey there,

Do you really need the 97-03 LCA for the ZZP Coilover Spring for the W-body? They have some sort of bracket that you can attach to the sway bar. Just wondering why they would not mention it. Would their custom Control Arm work?

Thanks

You'll need the lower control arms from a 97-03 they are different that 04+ yes the ones zzp would work but run about $500 where you can contact moradpartscompany.com or search eBay or a local junkyard and get a stock set for much cheaper.
