Ok here's the story. I have a bone stock '06 GP with approx. 44k on it. About a month and a half ago I started noticing a clunking noise while turning at low speeds, I could also feel it through the wheel. Two weeks ago I had the car up on jacks to change the oil and give it a good look over. All of the tie rod ends seem to be in pretty good shape, along with the all of the flex boots as well and anything else I could think of. So that got me thinking that it could also be the ISS being as it hasn't been greased since who knows when. I didn't have all the tools to go ahead and grease the ISS, so I finished changing my oil and put the car back on the ground. Later on when I took the car for a drive the clunking had gone away. Fast forward to today and I've noticed the car making the same exact noise/feeling. Anybody on here have any ideas???? Thanks in advance for the help.

It will be the ISS. Our previous 2004 had it before 50k miles. Our 2007 needed it by 40k miles, but I did not do it til 70k. Sound gone immediately. It is a real treat to work around under that dash too. It is not a slip yoke/pinch bolt type deal under the column in the 2007s like it is in the older ones.
