My car came with the Potenza summer tires and they offer no snow traction at all. So I put a set of Goodyear Eagle GT all season tires on it, and they go through the snow very well. Now I can start and stop without the traction control or the ABS coming on, and the car is much more stable while I'm driving on snow covered streets.

They also have great dry & wet traction, and handle just as well as the Potenzas in the corners. They are smooth on the highway and are very quiet considering they have an aggressive tread pattern. I thought about getting some winter tires and another set of wheels, but I've been swapping wheels/tires on my Grand Prix for over 5 years now and I'm tired of doing that. I highly recommend these tires in all conditions on any performance car!

That's about average price for a good tire in 245-45-18. Besides I hope to sell my 077's with new tires to cover the cost of them.

Well be prepared to buy tires then. The options are summer tires or the crappy Goodyear RS-A all season tires.

If you can afford it and don't mind swapping wheels, that's the best way to go. I did that for many years with my GP and I'm sick of doing it. Besides the 18" wheels are 8" wide, so you can mount some meaty tires on them with no worries.

I never priced them but I would imagine they are more than mine were. I'm guessing about $200 a piece.....

RS-As are CRAP. I have them on the GTP in 16" form. GARBAGE. They have as much traction as a mountain goat in a landslide.

You got that right Nick! I had the summer tires on mine for one week in December, and I immediately went out and bought all season tires.

Just keep your fingers crossed then! I hope we don't have any more snow either, I was riding the Harley today and don't want to put it away again.
