I can get 6 from another GP owner for $20. Will it hamper my car? Yes or no? Should I just go for OEM replacement Autolites? I've read everything out there and it seems to be a split decision.

I think iridium (or copper) is a better choice for a forced induction motor. Platinum does not transfer heat well.

no.

contrary to popular belief, AL 104's are 2 heat ranges colder than stock. 605's would be ideal for you in your car where you havent changed pullies as they are 1 heat range colder than stock.

dont buy platinum, and in my opinion, iridium either.

copper will pull the heat from the cylinders better and help reduce kr. copper doesnt last as long as iridium, but is considerably cheaper, so it balances out.

I agree with everything Kyle has said here, for once. :P Get 605's and make sure that they are copper.

I'm running 605's with my setup. 0 KR. Run the hottest plugs you can with no KR is best.

Iridium plugs are the best. I believe the stock plugs from GM are iridium on the 04 CompGs at least. If you are going for power go with either copper or iridium. One heat range colder should be more than sufficient. I'm running 605s with my mods right now but will be switching to 104s when I install my headers. I've been running both. I switched to the 605s before I drove from Seattle, WA to Shreveport, LA for the sake of mileage. The copper 104s are cheap so you can change them often if you want. I change mine every 10k or so which is probably more than is needed. If you don't want to change them for 60k miles go with the platinum. Iridiums are the best but they are pricey.

absolutely correct. also gap them the widest you can without blowing out the spark.

it is. it conducts more heat and pulls it away from the cylinder, helps reduce kr. iridium and platinum hold it in.

As mentioned above, go with the 605's.

I've seen them at Walmart.

"what year, and is it a gt or what?" i was like "04 gtp" he was like "um. supercharged?" "yes." "um. must be pretty special to put this oil in it.." "yyeah......" "so as far as the plugs, you want 605's right?" "no, 104's.." "that's too cold of a plug." "no, it's not." "yes, it is." "it's not stock.." "oh.. you modded your grand prix?" "yup."

I used 605s with a PLOG and a Wizair, they worked GREAT. No reason to go any colder for you.

I'm at 605's with the mods in my sig below, minus the plog. Plog goes in tomorrow. anyway, im going to try and wing the 605's with a 3.6 pulley too. hopefully they can handle it because i really dont want to swap plugs again because i will use that as an excuse to buy new wires as well.

Run stock for "good" emissions or even 92+ octane and go 1 range lower for slightly cooler burning, cheaper gas also
