The reason platinum plugs are recommended for up to 100,000 miles is because they are designed to run hot. If you look at a platinum plug the little electrode is a fine point almost like a needle. The little point stays hot no matter how much crap builds up on the plug. The copper core plugs have a round, big and flat electrode that cools down better and dissapates heat. Hot spots in the combustion chamber on a forced induction engine tend to create knock.

has anyone here successfully ran 605's with a 3.6 pulley on an 04+?? I'm supposed to be getting the pulley put in this weekend so I hope it works out because I don't want to swap plugs till spring.

Trying to convince the people at the zone or advance auto parts that your Grand Prix is modded is like trying to tell them that any car other than a muscle car or import can be fast. Most of the guys in there have the belief that muscle cars own all(or v-8's in general for that matter) or they are some kid in the local import scene. I used to work at advance and it took me a while to get the guys there to think that it was worth modding my car until after i took my boss for a ride. I drove him to the bank to make a deposit. After i did a 0-80 he just looked at me and said holly shit!. LOL. The was one of the best complements i got for my car.

Yeah, that's nice when people say something like that. I've gotten that before, too...makes ya feel good.
