I currently have 105 Comp springs with the appropriate retainers and stock locks. I need to replace my springs with a fresh set and I'm considering PBM 110# (3250). Can I use my existing retainers and locks? The Comp and PBM springs are both LS1 springs and I would think the retainers I'm currently using will be fine with the PBMs. Also I'm using a stock chain and an XP cam. PRJ mentioned using shims but I don't want to get into that because I'm not building a serious build. Just trying to eliminate the elevated boost above 6000 rpms (valve float). Or I can use the Crow 105# from ZZP if otherwise. Also PRJ is recommending 130# springs with a dual chain but I know a few that are using my setup with an XP and I personally have had no problems. I don't want to get into a double chain and having to remove the balancer and milling the front cover. Thanks.

If the PBM 110# springs are LS style springs you should be able to use them no problem. I'm guess if you have comp 105's you have different retainers like I did in my old GTP. The retainers are specific to the LS springs so they should be fine to reuse. I never changed valve locks when I changed springs, stock worked for both.
