Would like to find out if there is a good replacement for the valve cover other than the cheap plastic OEM? I have already replaced the gaskets before the recall came out and now having same problem.

There's no inexpensive replacement. You could get aluminum ones from a vendor like ZZP. What some people have done is used a thin bead of silicone in between the vc gasket and the head.

ZZP just had their aluminum ones on sale last friday I think... I couldn't keep up with everything changing every hour. But for 210 bucks it's not a cheap replacement, however, it's about the next cheapest thing to the plastic ones. So a 5 dollar tube of RTV would be a better choice if you ask me. What brand of gaskets do you have right now? I know I've had my valve covers off multiple times after I replaced the gaskets with felpros and they've never leaked a drop.

Got the Valve cover off cleaned everything off and found, at the top of the cover where it molded around the fuel injectors, the material is thin and brittle. This has got to be why it is leaking again. There are rub marks where the injector sits too.

Will try to RTV the gaskets and hope that holds until I can find a descent priced cover set.

The factory black valve covers from the 06+ cars are supposed to be made from a grade of plastic that resists heat better. Check with Morad Parts Company for availability.

I just got my aluminum valve covers from ZZP today. Wow! They look amazing and are a lot thicker for what I was expecting. I'd consider them an option they are pretty nice.
