Turbo/super diesels have been around for quite a while as well.
I think it's the Allisons that use this quite a bit for Euclids.
Twin 72 turbos feeding twin 12/71 GMC blowers.
It's quite a site.
Apparently the turbos are used for bottom end boost and the supers are for adding to the top end.
That's just the opposite of what you might expect.

i was referring to personal use vehicles
the durramax was the first kit made

No ideas for modifying the stock super charger crossing anyone's mind yet?

I've been playing with LIM, trying to isolate the engine heat. I've done a few tests using TBC coating on the engine side of the LIM, but I have not found a solution for the possibility of the TBC coming off an spreading thoughout the engine.

Good start.
I always wondered what the effect would be to coat the inside of the cooling paasages in the LIM?
As you've seen,Aluminum is a very good conductor of heat.
One question:
Does the LIM gasket not come with an integral valley pan splash shield or one you can clip in?

They sell it as a kit and have different snout lengths as well. Our cars use 172.4mm (for the L67) not sure about the L32's...

Ok, here is an update on cost and some vids if this inspires anyone.

http://s640.photobucket.com/albums/uu12 ... I_0777.flv
http://s640.photobucket.com/albums/uu12 ... I_0778.flv

$2800 for the harrop stuff
$200 for alt.
$75 for tb adapter
$200 for the tb
$80 for the 2 belts
$75 for the 4" elbow
$5 for the 4" pipe
$40 for the 4" filter
$40 for the silicone vac lines
??? for fuel rails
I allready had big injectors, walbro, heads, cam, pistons, ... etc...etc...

So ~$3600us

This guy was pushing 10.5 psi at 52% throttle...

Not that I'm aware of ... I'm thinking SS sheet bolted in place, I'll just have to drill and tap the LIM and then seal the threads to prevent any leakage. Or make a valley tray/LIM gasket as you mentioned.

I'd love to take the time to digitize the bottom of the LIM so I could create a solid model.

I'm thinking this thread is straying too far from the original topic.
I'll start another one.

I know this is old but did anything more become of this? I'm interested to see a newer TVS on a 3800.

there was a guy her in MN that put a m112 on his regal, not a tvs but its off a mustang if that counts. Had to have a bunch off machining done, and the gains were not what was expected

Refer to this thread that is currently on clubgp. If Eaton would ever release a 1650 model of their TVS S/C, it would have great potential but as of right now, there is some custom fabrication that needs to be done in order for this to work.

I remember speaking to a G8 owner who came from a GP, he said something along the lines of "at least I'm not on the GP forum anymore." That must of been what he's talking about.

ClubGP is more of a shithole now that it was when I started lurking there in 06 and everyone was saying how bad it was then, haha.
