Per ZZP
97-03 Grand Prix & 04+ supercharged Impala & Monte Carlo SS
3.5 pulley totally stock car
3.4 pulley Colder Tstat & spark plugs, downpipe, Cold air intake (still could have KR)
3.3 pulley all of the above plus a VS cam, SS intercooler, or headers
3.2 pulley 3.4 mods and a XP cam
3.0 pulley 3.4 mods and a fullsize intercooler or an SS ic and a VS cam.
Anything smaller than a 3.0 pulley will require a camshaft, headers, intercooler & injectors.

04-05 GTP or Comp G & 06 GT supercharged
3.8 pulley totally stock car
3.6 pulley Colder Tstat & spark plugs, downpipe, Cold air intake (still could have KR)
3.4 pulley all of the above plus a VS cam, or SS intercooler
3.3 pulley 3.4 mods and a XP cam
3.2 pulley 3.4 mods and a fullsize intercooler or an SS ic and a VS cam.
Anything smaller than a 3.0 pulley will require a camshaft, headers, intercooler & injectors.

If you have a GenV the 04+ portion applies.

I don't blame the PCM's, I blame the drivers and swapping in pulleys when they shouldn't or going all out in cold weather and running them hard.

He didn't take a test drive before he bought a modded vehicle? Thats usually not the best decision.

That ZZP list is for pulleys, you can tune your own pcm or get a tune from anywhere. It was just an example of pulley size to mods needed. With a T-stat and colder plugs and your current mods you should be fine on a 3.4, but I would advise getting a scangauge or similar to monitor for knock.

ya we have scan tools at work i can check regularly. but he drove the car and everything was fine. then the LIM went and my old boss took forever to fix it. then he got it back, then was in an accident, then he didnt have it a while. drove it for the late spring into summer not one problem. then one night. bam

3.4 will be fine daytona as long as you get 104 autolite's and a 180 tstat and tune. That is of course not guaranteeing you won't get knock, but you should be safe.

You can probably do it. I had the same mods except 1.9 rockers as well. Headers are the dealbreaker, but since you already have that covered I'd say you're good to go as long as you're getting it tuned.
