ok 2 posts in a day for me. oh well.

I noticed with my car, when warm, there is generally little whine from the SC. However, if I run it hard around some corner, then from that point on there is a MUCH more pronounced whine from the SC.

Anyone know why this is? I swapped out the SC fluid with some new stuff and also made sure that it was filled. But other than that I have no idea why it does this. I do like the sound, but just wondering more why it only becomes much louder after giving her some juice around some corners/on & off ramps etc.

I think i may not have been clear.
- pushing it hard on relatively straight stretches = no noticeably loud supercharger whine (ie. normal)
- Pushing it hard around sharp bends = loud supercharger whine which stays until car is turned off. Even loud whine when stopped and giving a few throttle blips. Know what I mean?

You are hearing your power steering pump. It's very common with these cars and always happens after hard corners. Add some fluid to the power steering and the noise will go away.

I think most of us here have had that problem. I remember reading that most of the 04 models came from the factory with too little fluid in the PS pump.

i have found that even on a new/reman pump that is full up that it can whine just a little.

and a simple cai/hai will let you hear it whine all the time.

Mine ran really low with no apparent leak at one point a year or 2 ago. I did the stop leak and topped it off and it has been good ever since. Still has a tiny whine to it you can hear if you listen close but it is minor and the fluid level holds fine now.
