I got a response from ZZP. When I told him I had an 04 GTP, this was the response.

"Oh, then you can use OEM gaskets on top and below the IC core. No need to cut unless you want to match the IC inlet/outlet."

GEn III is different apparently. THis is the answer I received before I told him I had a Gen5.

"The OEM gasket cannot be used under the supercharger. You have to run the garlock or a Gen 5 OEM supercharger gasket. You can run the stock Gen 3 gasket on top of the SS IC though." AND "you cannot use an OEM gasket below the SS IC. It will not cover the outlet and you'll have a massive vacuum leak. The top gasket can be OEM and doesn't need any holes cut in it."

Vacuum leak huh....? If the garloc is as bad as I have heard, maybe my P0171 code will go away. Wishful thinking maybe.

This what happens when you use a garlock gasket on top of a SSIC. Talk about major leak.

You should use a garlock on the bottom and a stock on the top. I guess with the Gen V it is different. Also, the gen v gasket has gasket material over the aluminum. Its like the aluminum is sandwhiched inbetween the gasket material.

In the video that I posted I had a stock on the bottom and a garlock on top which gave me what I call the "train whistle" mod. I then tore it apart and put a garlock on the bottom and a stock on top of the i/c. No problems to report since August. You can def do stock on stock if thats what you like. A lot of people have done it that way.
