So in the spring i plan on doing a cam in my 04 gtp and i plan on doing an Xp cam i found this on craigslist. "Xp cam 95# valve spings modded retaners machined oil pump cover double roller timing chain for a supercharge 3800" He is asking 350 for all of it and it doesnt say how long it was used for is it a good deal or should i just buy new stuff?

Thanks

Get some more info on it. Sounds like a pretty good deal to me if the stuff is in good shape. I paid $250 for my cam alone, that I never installed...

What type of wear should i look for on the cam just anything other then normal ive done a few cam swaps already and ive seen bad ones really bad ones where the lobe wore right down to nothing. if those are parts for a series 2 will they fit my series 3 no problem?

I just got the email back he said there is about 10,000 miles on the cam and 100 on the cam.

I'd buy it. All of those parts will fit your series III 3800 as well.

Definitely a good time to do it. I had a built race trans, cam, i/c, all that jazz to install in my car early this year. Ended up selling it all and buying my R6.
