I'd probably consider a ZZP race engine if you were gonna do anything. From what I hear, the bottom ends of these engines are finicky about how they are rebuilt.

If you build, build high compression. Low compression is no fun, and no way to make good power.

well i plan on running a smaller pulley. right now im riunnin a 3.4. I would like to go intercooled and go smaller. If i do that with high compression is it goin to hurt the motor?

with the high compression you will not need to go to a smaller pulley. the S/C can spin slower and be more efficiant

so what would be a good compression ration to run with on a 3.4 pulley non-intercooled?

I intend to get mine up near where the L36 is...which is 9.5:1. I'd like to get it higher than that, but without spending big money, it's just not gonna happen.

But, if you do that, you have to rebuild the bottom end. Kind of up to you if you want to do that far in to it or not. I would leave the bottom end alone, most likely. Depends on the miles somewhat.

the cylinder walls suprisingly are in really good shape. the motor only had 70k on it.

With the M90 you want higher compression for an all out build. I'm going to be very close to 10:1 after I throw in an L26 shortblock this winter.
With a turbo you want to go lower compression because they are much more efficient.

Really, L32 rods are about as good as it gets. I don't think anybody makes anything for these engines. Even what you find on Intense and what not is just factory stuff.
