as u can tell from my sig. on the bottom, my car is intercooled, when i first installed it the S/C used to b hand touchable after driving the car for long or short periods, but lately if i drive tge car for 10 min the S/C and the intercooler core r very hot, i tested the pump last nite and its still working (i got some air into the system and seen the flow inside the tubes)
Any ideas guys? and there's no KR which makin me  and car temp is normal!

The intercooler cools the air AFTER it passes through the supercharger so it doesn't matter how hot it is. Since you have no KR you have nothing to worry about.

The S2 intercooler plate is made of aluminum, so it will eventually heat soak after long drives regardless. Try a short drive at night when the humidity is low, and tell me if the blower is as cool to the touch as it used to be. It could just be this July heat your blower and you are literally feeling. :angryfire:

You're positive there's enough oil in it?

Is there a possibility the needle bearings could be bad thus creating more friction?

28C is still pretty warm, I would expect my car to be pretty hot at those temps.

Is the coolant topped off in the IC? If you had air in the system you might have gotten an air lock somewhere. Is your fill cap on your IC the highest point in the circuit?

coolant is topped off, i left the cap open for a day or so to get all air outa the system
As for being the highest point, i dont think it is, i never actually thought about that before, u think it would make a pressure difference?

It won't make much of a pressure difference if the pumps working properly, it'll just make sure that any air in the system will be forced to that point and then out of the system.

I'm pretty sure there's no air in it

Hmmm, do you have a IC pump controller?

ZZP's little write up makes it sound like it could help. http://zzperformance.com/grand_prix/pro ... &catid=139 maybe you should Email ZZP and see if that would actually solve the problem. I got one of the controllers but my IC isn't installed yet so I can't tell you how well it works.

" It runs the pump at 5% during idle and ramps to full speed at 50% throttle. It runs the pump for 60 seconds after the car is shut off to maximize intercooler system cooldown. "
i dont care for that! lol its running at full speed all the time which should b better
and i do have the GM pump, which was their "best" pump a while back and now they dont sell it no more

If would lower the temps, and that is why I got one. But if you have the GM pump then I guess you don't have much of a choice. My IC should be up and running in the next few weeks, I'll let you know if I notice any difference in the SC temps.

BTW what kind of CAI do you have on your car?

I had the wizair first, but with the turndown adapter installed it was too tight, so i just used the tubing and left it in the open with no box, and i used a filter made for a 2003 GP, because our filters come in a much smaller size
