I'm new to the GP modding world,I have an 01 GTP, In the never ending pursuit of horsepower this is what i've done so far:
3" downpipe/high flow cat/ u-bend delete, ceramic coated powerlog and crossover, 180* t-stat, autolite 605's, cold air intake, msd wires, overkill pcm. my question is do you think it will be safe to run a 3.5 pulley with what i have done, and what kind of dyno #'s and 1/4 mile time you think i'll get with this setup? Thanks in advance.

with those you could run a 3.4 if no *kr but to be safe if you can't scan the car 3.5 mps

I would say trial and error. You have the supporting mods for a smaller pulley, but that doesn't mean it wont knock. The only true way to find out is to scan. get a 3.5 and scan and if no Knock maybe go down to a 3.4 and scan again. Only real way to truly tell. All cars are not built equal...

Every car is different. When I had a 3.6 pulley on and was running 13.7s with rockers, PEMS, intake everyone kept saying why aren't you running a 3.4. Well, because I'm not going to drown the engine in fuel just to run a small pulley. I still run a 3.4 on the street with cam, headers, and e85 but I run 22* timing and a wideband AFR of 11.8-12.0:1 instead of 10.5:1 like a lot of people probably are to run a small pulley.
If I were you and if I had no way to scan, I'd go with a MPS and put a 3.6" on there just to be safe.
I'm not sure where you are located? Maybe someone in your area could help you out and scan/tune your car. The tuner I bought is absolutely the best money I've spent on this car.

Im from CT, who makes scanners that can scan for kr and how much are they. i'd rather get a hand held scanner than the aeroforce. I didn't put the 3.5 on yet, will it be a big difference or small?

I was thinking of getting the aeroforce gauge but it kina eliminates the need for any other gauge, and the only sell minimum 2 gauge pod a-pillar. idk what other gauge i should get with it.

actually 16...each gauge cycles through 8 different user selected parameters if you set them up to cycle.

i have a dual aeroforce kit and a wideband o2 and i couldnt be happier.

helps if you gap your spark plugs to .054-.055 that's what mine are gapped to.aside that, you have plenty of mods to support a 3.4 pulley, but as everyone mentioned find a way to scan your car. you're better off running a 3.5 with no kr than a 3.4 with ANY kr.

You have the same basic mods as I do. If you go to a 3.4, change the plugs to Autolite 104s. You know what, might as well do it anyway. I doubt you're stopping at a 3.5.

Well, first I want rockers. Almost bought those. Then headers. But if I'm turbo I can't USE headers. This sucks royally.

I'd consider getting the blower ported first before I started turning up the boost.
