Need to cut down on KR, have no money, thinking about pacesetters... Anyone had issues with them or notice power gains when switching from them to a TOG or ZZP? ZZP offers a packages where they have fixed the problem with the pacesetters leaking from the Y. I wanted to go with TOGs but the pacesetters are so much cheaper. Any thoughts or information would be helpful.

I don't know anything about headers since I've never used a set yet, but from reading the forums the speed daddy ones seem okay as far as cheap headers go and they don't have that stupid seperate Y collector pipe thing that pacesetters do.

If you do some trolling around on here theres specific threads on the "good" speed daddy headers, not the Pacesetter knockoff ones that were originally sent to some members here. Sorry I can't be more help.

I have pacesetters and have had no problems with them. Had them for almost a year now and no leaks. They are a pain like all headers to install but they fit good on my 05 and I notice a lot more top end and a big decrease in kr. Mine were sandblasted and coated with high temp paint I wish I had stainless :D

good to know, thanks for the input. i really don't care about looks so the high temp paint would be fine with me as long as it doesn't peel.

Ya stainless looks really nice and you dont have to worry about high temp painting them of course. But mine did peel just a little in one area on the front one I have just recently removed them and repainted them. I do not think I coated them well enough the first time I did it... But the non stainless ones might have the be maintained a lot more than stainless so thats something to think about... But all in all I am very pleased with my purchase it was less than 200 dollars too which was nice...

I've had my pacesetters on for almost 3 years and have had no issues with leaks. I wish I was buying headers now instead of back then, I paid 500 for ceramic coated, now you can get stainless, hell there is even a set on ebay that stated they need modification. those are only 100 bucks

Speeddaddy look more aerodynamic too, less turbulence with the less radical bends on the front 3 cylinders, also not having that Y looks to be a help too. I'm looking at headers now since I don't like the loss of torque from the Plog and 3"DP.

I got a set cause they have larger primaries and downpipe than TOGs, and were also cheaper.
