I have some stutter issues on start, I had a scan done from Advance and Onstar and it said it was an Oxygen sensor causing the problem but it does not say which one. Which sensor would cause this issue or should I just replace both. Also, can you recommend a brand to use.
Thanks in advance

Did they give you the code? I would guess they are talking about the front one though, before the cat.

That is my thought because the one after the cat is more for emissions that performance.

Does it matter what brand i get. I was told a few years back that Bosch O2 sensors were not that great. Is that still true

Delco or nothing. They report the fastest. Or something like that.

Easy way to look at it is sensor 1 before the converter plays the role of fuel trims. Sensor 2....after the cat just monitors the efficency of the converter. They both do this by sending a voltage signal anywhere from 0 to 1 volt. If you by chance have a scope you can easily check patterns or even a decent fast switching volt meter you can hook it up at the pig tail and watch the voltage go up and down.

Changed out the O2 sensor and car seems to be doing ok. But as usual the check engine light goes off before I replace it. So I guess it is ok. I got a Delphi sensor, which is AC delco, well the computer said it was the OEM.

Delco if you can afford it. If not, NTK or Denso are good too. Bosch Narrowband o2 sensors are garbage.

From my daily experience at work these are the best brands for aftermarket

Delphi
Denso
Standard
Ngk

Any oem part is ultimately the way to go if the pocket book allows it
