It's the one I circled in red.

Attachment:

I went to Advance, and they gave me this pulley:

Is that the right one? The other pulley broke, and was made of plastic. This one is made of metal, don't know if it's the right one or not.

Thanks guys.

In short, yes, it should be if in fact the # on the picture you posted is the same number of the pulley you got.

ETP: Could be wrong, engine's aren't my strong point :)

Well, I just went and put my new SC belt on it, it won't fit. It's not the right pulley.

:(

That pulley SHOULD still be grooved. The one you circled should contact the grooved part of the belt. The other idler pulley will be smooth but it's not a replacement for the one you circled.

Just get an acc. idler pulley and throw that bitch on there. They are a tad larger and will help wth belt wrap. You just need to put use some muscle to get the belt around it.

If it's not grooved I would not recommend it at all. Not to mention the accessory belt doesn't have an idler pulley. Just a tensioner pulley (which is not grooved) There's only one pulley that's not part of an actually accessory that is grooved and it's the idler pulley for the S/C belt. Just make sure you have the correct part and you'll be fine.

Rockauto was backordered on that, so I went to the stealership and paid $44.44 for it. I also got two bottles of supercharger oil, figured I might as well change that while I'm in there.

Thanks for the help, everyone.

Go look at the diagram again. Both idler pulleys are on the S/C belt. On the accessory belt, other than the tensioner pulley, all the pulleys are driving one of the accessories.

Metal, plastic, same idea. I had one literally turn to dust on me after the bearing ceased. Technically, any pulley that's relatively close (six ribs and similar hole) will work. Since the one Autozone called for was smooth, I snagged one that fits a 98 Ford Contour. Here's a pic of the remains of mine:

Image

Snapped my S/C belt and left me with 4 ribs of the serpentine (out of 6) left to limp home the 30 odd miles I had to commute...

Oh trust me I know. That's all I got when I was on Active Duty. And every 8th day I didn't get to sleep at all due to a 24 hour shift I had to pull every 8 days.

How much did you pay for the 2 bottles of oil? I'm wondering if prices are different in different areas

The dealer near me charged me $10.85 each
