I received my wideband today and was curious to know if it just takes the place of the O2 sensor that is currently mounted in my TOG headers or do I need to put an O2 bung in. I haven't seen a write up of how exactly to do this and have received just a couple of pointers so far. Any help is greatly appreciated.

The front 02 sensor in your togs has to stay since it will still controls all the a/f ratios that the pcm needs to adjust according. I'm sure there is a way that you could get the wideband to take the place of that o2 sensor, but it would be more of a headache than just welding in a new bung. Also, the wideband should be a certain distance away from the collector on the TOGS, not sure of the exact distance though, sorry, and it should be before the cat if you have one. I did find this thread. Might help out some. Sorry I can't help out more.

good find on the thread since I had forgotten about it. Wonder how much the welding shop will charge to weld the bung in place....
I will take pics as I go and hopefully someone else can use it as well.

You would need a bung welded in towards the back side of the down pipe where the flange is that would bolt to the stock resonator.

Pretty much pretend you still have a CAT, the bung would go in the down pipe, after the CAT. I then run the wide band cables under the car, behind the passengers side fender liner, through the passengers side door jam, and then into the interior. Better than having the cord come out, and over the trim under the door and shut IN the door. :???:

I only use, and install a WB for tuning down to a tee. Its not installed all the time in my car. Only once and a while if need be.

You're supposed to add an extra 02 bung, no less than 6 inches but no more than 12 inches away from the motor, and before the cat so you don't skew the readings.
