i know the nic will run in the low 12's with good mods and mid 12's with decent mods non intercooled, but i havent seen much on how the nic does on an ic setup.. any body know?? considering going from xp to nic, but i have ic at the house to put on and dont want to change cams if it is not gonna like it. i would think it would do good but i havent found squat on anybody that has run that combo..

toughts??? opinions???

if your wondering it will be in a topswap, ported (heads, intake and blower), stage 2 or north* tb, stage 2 ic, headers, 42.5's, and all the other normal supporting items

from what i have read you will see gains from going IC but you will not see as big of gains as you would with (example) an xp cam of s1x.

i made 359 WHP with NIC, SSIC, zzp headers,42's, gen V and a n*...i went 12.31 non intercooled, 12.11 with the SSIC tog's and genIII blower, and havent raced it with the gen V and zzp headers yet...but i did pick up 48 HP with the genV and zzp headers...

and your still running the ssic?

so you gained 2 tenths from just the ic before the genV and zzheaders?

The whole reason for the NIC cam is to not need an intercooler to put down reasonable times. NIC stands for non-intercooled. There's a considerable amount of overlap with that cam as well.

yes, dont need one, but it cant hurt performance to add one.. even if the gains are not that of other cams there will still be gains..

a buddy of mine is currently tied for the nic (on the dyno) and is runnin a ssic under a gen V (i didnt think to call him till after i made the thread.. but more info the better)
