So I got bored and headed down to the ol speed shop today and had them put in a new 3" downpipe, Magnaflow racing cat , and deep 6 my resonator. Sounds alright, a little louder than stock, and I feel a noticable difference in power, and a very noticable change in the whole feel of the car. PEMs are next, then pcm, then 3.4.
I just had to tell someone.

nice man, your pretty much doing what i did, i went with 3" exhaust to 2.5" duals into magnaflow, then got a 3" catless downpipe, pem and cc crossovers, but yes. i got a high flow magnaflow cat put back on, it sonds like ass with no cat, youll see a HUGE amount of difference when you change out the front power log, its awesome.

Got my front Powerlog ordered last night...scheduled for delivery on the 10th. I cant wait. I also got a set of NGK TR55s. Gotta get put together soon cuz my plans are an Overkill pcm then a smaller pulley. Seems ZZP says with my mods a 3.4 is too small, and they recommend a 3.6. Whatev though, the turbo will be on this time next year. Thoughts about the pulley?

Oh and btw...I gotta get different mufflers cuz it doesnt have the right tone. Im thinking Flowmasters, they seem to sound nice on Utube.

What year car do you have and what will your mod list be when you go to do the pulley?

with the air freshner id say u can prolly run a 3.2 but i would recommend a scan
yeah u should b a able to run a 3.5 but i STRONGLY recommend that u use 104 autolites and dont forget the CAI

i would spend the money and have someone custome tune it over getting a tune in a can. Those tunes in a can all do the same thing, pull timing, add lots of fuel, and de-sensitize the knock sensors.

Ill prolly stick with a 3.6. I do know a guy who knows these cars well that deos a custom tune. Im not gonna go too far right now cuz I still have the v8 itch. Ill either turbo this one or get a GXP. I really miss my Firehawk, and my son is getting big enough now to where he can ride without a car seat so I dont necessarily need 4 doors anymore. Ive had 4 4th gen f bodies and theyre the car that stuck in my blood. My ideas on hotrodding were really dimmed when Pontiac was announced on the chopping block.

not necessarily. every bodies car is different. i was running with PEM's forever along with a stg 3 IC, 3.0 pulley and such. i finally got headers about 2K miles before i demodded.

*BUT...yes i agree, skip the PEM's and just get the headers
