Ok here's the deal, I did a smoke test on my car and found my Vac leak in my EGR tube, Fixed that, passed inspection. Next day I start my car and it starts to squeal like a pig. I took my belts off cuz it sounded like a bad bearing and the prob was still there.

I noticed my oil dipstick was cracked and when I pulled it out the squeal stopped. I noticed that there is a lot of suction at the dipstick tube so I put a temp plug in it to test, and sure enough after a second it started to squeal again.

It only makes this sound at idle and not while under load. Is there suppose to be that much suction there? Is the dipstick suppose to be sealed? PVC? Valve seals? am I on the right track?

Edit: its a 99 GTP

I would think you need to replace your PCV valve. That would make sense...

Yeah, you're getting a lot of crankcase pressure, and that is very bad. You'll blow out crank seals, rear mains, and all kinds of stuff. Replace the PCV valve, and you'll be good.

New PCV seemed to fix it. Suction went way down and my Idle is back to about 750 rpm from about 900. Also my LTFTs went from being pinned at 16.4 to around zero again. I love cheap fixes. Thanks a lot.

Yeah. I've seen what $15 can buy you in Vegas. It isn't pretty.... Fully clothed OUTDOORS there was a fishy smell...

Is it a loud squeal?? I hear something on my car-- but I just replaced the valve 2 weeks ago. I'm hoping its a worn belt.
