Well a while back my buddy was driving home and all of his a sudden his temp gauge was almost pegged and so he keep driving and steam was going every where i guess. Come to find out the plastic coolant elbows gave way and the coolant went everywhere and the car heated up greatly. So i came over replaced the coolant elbows and got it up and going. But a few weeks later he calls me and says that his SES flashes and car cuts out when you WOT. So i take the plugs out and this is what i find!!!!

2000 gtp has 135k on it
The car does not leak oil
the coolant is not leaking anywhere and not going into the oil
the car does not smoke
the car does not take any coolant
the car is COMPLETELY stock.
the car will idle and drive just fine but anything after 1/2 throttle the motor disagrees
the flashing SES is from multiple misfires scanner showed them.
changed plugs once and plugs were fine until took it out and went 1/2 throttle and misfires once again
ALSO changed out the wires and coils and still same problem
the only thing i can think of is either the heads are warped or the A/F mixtured is F*cked up and the LIM side gaskets are out and messing up the mixture.....what you guys think??

I don't understand. If his temp gauge was almost pegged the car should have shut itself down. Unless the thermostat was bad... At another angle, if the coolant elbows were leaking coolant and he kept driving it with no coolant, he more than likely warped the heads. Only way to really know for sure is to pull them off and get them checked out. Since you will have the heads off, you're going to have to do new LIM gaskets anyway. Kill 2 birds with 1 stone.

And he kept diving and did not stop to check to see what was happening??
In all my experience with Truck's....you gonna need to change all the top end gaskets, when that happen's to a diesel truck, the head gaskets get's sucked in and you hope and prey the piston's are not burnt.

the only i dont understand is if they are warped that would leave a gap of some sort between the head and block...why isnt this thing leaking coolant or burning it! it seems to be running out of fuel and running lean as hell.

Yeah i will see what i find when i pull it apart. I got a extra set of heads at my place so i could just get gaskets and swap heads
