has anyone modded the Gen 5 supercharger to where it is making around a 100 or so HP?

Also, anybody use a different supercharger on their 2004+ GP, like a Whipple, maggie, etc. How does that do?

comp g - what do you guys think so far?

What do you mean by modifying a S/C for 100 extra hp. I've never heard of such a thing.

Good luck finding a whipple or any other charger. Occasionally they come across in the classifieds section, but even then still look at paying $2K.

Pulley drop, tuning, and intercooler. You could always skip all of that and just turbo it... Just depends on what you want to do.

Seen Whipple setups on an L32, but that was dropped into a 97-03 of some sort. That was WICKED. I wish I could remember whose car that was. I wanted to go Whipple for the longest time.

headers, rockers, pulley, tune...will get you around 270-290whp, pretty quick for a daily.

Whipple charger takes alot to make fit on our engines

There's a kit that WBS sold a while back. That's what I was looking into.

this. If you are looking for serious power then you would want to convert it anyways.

Nitrous and the Supercharger you'd have to redo the entire top end of the car for sure, probably headers... I'd be afraid to put nitrous into my car, unless I get another GP to have as a back up =D

yeah. Thats why I was wondering if someone was able to get extra horsepower fron the Gen V. I saw the WBody Store Animul SC, but I dont see any with a 2004 that has it. I was thinking about porting it out with a new throttle body and MAF sensor as well, but not sure who ports them the best.

What? I had nitrous on one of my previous GTP's. I didn't have to redo anything. Only thing I had to do was get a TB spacer and tap it for the shark nozzle. Nitrous is no different than adding any other power adder. You saying you would never put nitrous on your car, is like a NA GP owner saying they wouldn't want to put a blower on their car.

No I'm not on facebook, but that's not a bad deal for new. You could build the intercooler for a few hundred dollars.

Bad time to mention that I love driving N/A cars?

Besides, why put a blower when you can put a snail, right?

If you really want power but don't want to ditch the Gen V... remove snout and rotors. Install block off plate. Add turbo. Done

The reason I don't like Nitrous is that I want the power full time. Not just when I push a button. I want the power ANYTIME I need it.

You can tune the shot for an rpm if you really wanted to, hit 4k and boom 100 shot automatically.

That would definitly be fun!! but very dangerous if used in excess and your not built for it. Nitrous should be used sparingly on a stock ride just to be safe unless you have deep pockets but its not completly ever out of the question if your looking for bang for buck IMO. If done right and smart for the cash its a hard to beat power adder! especailly on a forced induction vehicle, like i said about push button intercooler

He means he doesn't want to refill his horse power he wants it to always be there lol.
