I have a newbie question. What are the signs that my LIM is bad? Also is there a write up on how to fix it?

Chances are that the lim is not bad, but the lim gaskets could be for sure.

Let us know what your symptoms are and we can have you check a few things and help you diagnose what you have wrong.

When my engine gets to regular engine temp it struggles around 1500 rpms. around 2000 rpms it runs better but still struggles a bit. after 3000 rpms it seems to be fine. It also seems like my engine is stuggling to breath.

Sounds similer to what the 40th was doing. I just did lim gaskets on it and all is better. ( gaskets and a set of plugs)

How many miles are on the motor? And do you know if they have been done before?

Stock gaskets are only good for about 100k miles.

I will see if i still have the stockers laying there. If i do I can take a pic as to what the difference is.

I have just over 95K miles. I just recently put in AL XP 104 plugs, but I don't know if the gaskets have been changed. I got the car with just over 67K miles on it and I've had it for a year and a half now.

pull the oil cap off, put your hand over it, and see if its sucking any vacuum. anything, even slightly, means the system is compromised.

I doubt they where done before 70k so even if not your issue it would be a very wise choice to do ( sounds like it is anyway) we just rolled 100k on the 40th and they where not terrible but obviously did the trick.

Coolant elbows while it is apart btw! ( one will probably break when you do it anyway.

If you dont have any major engine mods maybe the al104s are too cold or not gapped properly.
